random photos, the flavah of egypt
Leah wrote this on a table inside our apartment, the evening after a really bad sand storm. Yes, we do have windows. The sand is so fine here it gets into and covers everything.
Fog had settled along the coastline (i guess that's what it was?). It felt as if we were in London or Iceland rather than Egypt.
only 2 pounds to use this luxurious restroom?!
we went to the mall recently.
um, surreal.
A wall mural inside the mall adequately captures the true Man of Egypt.
Outside, on the busy street in front of the mall... yep, that's a donkey pulling a cart.
i see signs like this all the time, but it never gets old. :)
Outside the coffee shop where we wait for the bus each morning. I collected a bunch of those long pod things growing from the tree on the right (for my kids to draw). they're really hard, like solid wood.
on the way to dahab

I love those mysterious orange robe items. I also love the foggy beach photos, but in an entirely different way.
