Schweinfurt for Christmas
A couple shot of the snowy, Austrian mountains.
I left Cairo on Dec. 24th at 10am. I was very much looking forward to a break from the culture shock of Egypt.
I met a friendly Chilean guy, Alberto on the flight. It was such a pleasure to have a normal conversation with a man, without any weirdness like most Egyptian men bring to the conversation. No strange, intense staring or oddly romantic undertones. Just a normal, pleasant conversation. Whew, just in time. Being a single, white female in Egypt makes it easy to forget what it's like to be treated like a normal human.
Amy and Blake met me at the airport (yippie). Blake practiced some pretty sweet, coffee stick skills at the McDonald's in the airport.
And then it was back to the homestead. It was neat going back to Amy's, sort of like returning home, after my 6week stay in the summer. The perfect Christmas break.
I arrived on the 24th, so after a couple hours of unpacking, and relaxing, we went over to Riner and Sabine's for a Christmas Eve visit.
(Translate "unpacking" as Blake weasely opening nearly all the little treats I brought him.)
Good thing I'm not vain. Nice photo, huh? Just following Blake's lead there.
